Zone

Costa Rica operates in the Central Standard Time (CST) zone, which is UTC-6. The country does not observe Daylight Saving Time, keeping the same time year-round.

Currency

Costa Rica’s official currency is the Costa Rican colón (â‚¡), though US dollars are also widely accepted throughout the country.

Languages

The official language of Costa Rica is Spanish, however English is commonly spoken, especially in tourist areas.
